When most people think filler, they think lips. And while a beautifully done lip treatment is one of our favorite things to do at Prosper Health & Aesthetics, the truth is that lips are just one stop on a long list of places where dermal filler can dramatically refresh the face. Some of the most powerful filler treatments don't touch the lips at all.
Here are the unexpected filler areas that are quietly changing the aesthetics game.
Temples
As we age, fat pads in the temples shrink. The skin caves in slightly, and that hollow pulls the entire face downward — including the brow tail, the lateral cheek, and even the jawline. Treating the temples with filler can:
- Lift the lateral brow.
- Restore a smooth, youthful curve from the cheekbone up.
- Soften the appearance of the bony orbital rim.
- Create a more rested, balanced upper face.
It's one of those treatments where patients can't quite tell what changed — they just look noticeably better.
Jawline and Chin
A defined jawline isn't just a male aesthetic concern anymore. For both men and women, jawline and chin filler can:
- Sharpen the angle of the jaw.
- Project the chin slightly forward to balance the profile.
- Tighten the appearance of the lower face.
- Reduce the visual prominence of jowls.
For male patients especially, jaw and chin filler can be transformative. For female patients, careful placement creates a strong, refined frame for the lower face.
Cheeks (the Real Way)
Most patients think of cheek filler as "making cheeks bigger." Done well, it isn't. It's about restoring lost volume in the deep midface — which lifts the lower face from above and reduces the appearance of nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and mid-cheek hollowing.
This is one of the highest-impact filler treatments in aesthetics when it's done with restraint.
Under-Eyes
Tear trough filler is one of the most-requested treatments — and one of the most technique-dependent. Done correctly with the right product (often Restylane Eyelight or Volbella), it softens dark circles, reduces hollowing, and dramatically refreshes the eye area.
Done incorrectly, it can cause swelling, a bluish tint (the Tyndall effect), or that puffy "filler eye" look. This is an area where injector experience really matters.
Nose
Non-surgical rhinoplasty using filler can subtly correct dorsal humps, lift the tip, and improve overall nose symmetry without surgery. Results last 12 to 18 months in most patients. It's not for every nose — significant structural concerns may still call for surgery — but for the right patient, it's life-changing.
Earlobes
Earlobes can deflate and stretch with age. A small amount of filler restores volume and fullness, often making earrings sit more naturally. It's a five-minute treatment with surprisingly high satisfaction.
Hands
Volume loss in the back of the hands is one of the most age-revealing changes that nobody talks about. Filler (often Radiesse, a calcium hydroxylapatite biostimulator) can plump and refresh the hands beautifully.
Marionette Lines and Pre-Jowl Sulcus
Small, strategic filler placement at the corners of the mouth and just below the jowl can restore a subtle structural lift that softens the entire lower face. Pair with Botox at the depressors for a cohesive lower-face refresh.
The Whole-Face Approach
Great aesthetic results almost never come from one treatment in one area. They come from a thoughtful, layered plan that addresses where you've lost volume, where lines have formed from movement, and where skin quality has changed. At Prosper, our injectors think about the whole face — not just the area you walked in for.
Pricing
Filler is priced per syringe and varies by product. Your provider will quote you a clear, transparent total at consultation.
